New Doctoral Student

The Chair of POM welcomes Mr. Nils Löwhagen as a new doctoral student from September 2024.

Nils

Nils Löwhagen holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering - Management from Vienna University of Technology (TU Vienna), an M.Sc. in Production Engineering and Management from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and an M.Sc. in Management, Technology, and Economics (MTEC) from ETH Zurich. His academic focus combines engineering with management, culminating in his second master’s thesis on object-centric process mining in low-volume, high-mix production.

Nils has worked closely with industry throughout his studies. He completed his bachelor’s thesis with Knorr Bremse in Austria and his first master’s thesis with Ericsson AB in Sweden. He also concluded internships at Volvo Trucks Australia, Mack Trucks USA, and Porsche Consulting Germany.

In addition to his industry experience, Nils has contributed to academia as a teaching assistant in finance and systems engineering and as a research assistant in renewable energy. He has spent the last two years as a research assistant at the Chair of Production and Operations Management (POM) at ETH.

In his leisure time, Nils is passionate about staying active. He enjoys skiing and playing squash and constantly seeks new ways to challenge himself physically.
