Maurice Kaulich wins the SEW-EURODRIVE Studienpreis 2025!

Congratulations to Maurice Kaulich for receiving the prestigious SEW-EURODRIVE Studienpreis in recognition of his outstanding academic achievement. Maurice, a master’s student in the MTEC program at ETH Zurich, has been awarded this prize for his master thesis titled: “Implementing Collaborative Robots at Bruker BioSpin for Enhancing Manual Production in a High-Mix, Low-Volume Environment”
New paper about Product Life-Extending Operations (PLEO)

Circular supply chains are frequently discussed in political contexts but are rarely observed in reality. How can we close this gap? This question is addressed in our latest publication in the International Journal of Production Research (IJPR): “Overcoming the productivity challenge in product life-extending operations: a multiple-case study of European facilities” by Dr. Clemens Gróf and Prof. Torbjørn Netland.

Nils Löwhagen has been awarded the ETH Medal for an outstanding master’s thesis completed in collaboration with MANN+HUMMEL. The thesis explores how critical path methodology and process mining can improve inventory management in low-volume, high-mix production systems.
