POM attends CHI conference
The chair of POM co-authored a paper at this year’s conference on Computer Human Interaction (CHI). Dr. Fei Xue, Dr. Xiaoyu Zhang and Alexander Albers attended the conference in Yokohama, Japan

In the published paper "It's impressive, but in practice ...": Experiencing a Realistic Digital Transformation in and Beyond the Classroom (Zhang et al., 2025), we describe how we integrated technologies into a course teaching lean production principles to students in MTEC’s continued education program. Our work shows how technology-enhanced serious games can extend learning in and beyond the classroom. It was featured at last year’s ETH learning and teaching fair.
The course received support from ETH Zurich’s fund for teaching innovation Innovedum.
We acknowledge Tulip, Fluxicon, and EthonAI for the software licenses and support. We are indebted to Rafael Lorenz for co-developing and co-teaching the course. We thank Selcuk Taskin, Ciril Bullinger, and Nils Löwhagen for their help in developing and running the course.
