Sophie Fenner successfully defends her doctoral thesis!
Congratulations! Sophie Fenner has defended her dissertation “Implementation of lean practices in service firms: a case-based investigation” on November 23rd.
The implementation of lean practices in services is often portrayed as a sectoral phenomenon. Literature and case studies discuss for example lean healthcare, lean education or lean banking. However, the inter-organisational application remains unclear. Sophie explains the difference between different types of services and different applications of lean practices. Furthermore, she discusses how organisations should implement lean service successfully and how they can measure and maintain a positive effect of the lean transformation on the organisation’s outcome.
