Augmented Reality (AR) using Head-Mounted Displays is a powerful technology in industry. However, holograms in the user’s field-of-view can be a safety hazard when they mask dangerous areas or objects. To solve this problem, the authors propose an AR system for HoloLens 2 that can enhance user safety by predicting when to show or hide holograms. This feature is especially valuable in industrial environments, where users need to pay close attention to potentially hazardous elements like heavy machinery or dangerous materials.
