New paper on Digital Transformation published in the European Management Journal
The paper “Digital Transformation: A review and research agenda” has been recently published in the European Management Journal. The paper is authored by Dmitry Plekhanov, Dr. Henrik Franke, and Prof. Torbjørn Netland.

This systematic literature review provides a deep synthesis of academic knowledge on the digital transformation of the business sector, leveraging insights from 537 articles. It proposes a new conceptualization of novel organizational forms in the digital economy and elaborates on the resulting organizational power dynamics that take place along the decentralization-centralization continuum. The paper argues that many failures in digital transformation programs can be attributed to the limited ability of firms to manage effectively new power shifts.
