Paper shortlisted to the POMS OpEx 2022 Best Paper Award finals
A paper lead-authored by our POM doctoral candidate Daniel Kwasnitschka and supported by his co-authors Dr. Henrik Franke and Prof. Torbjørn Netland was recently honored as a finalist in the POMS College of Operational Excellence 2022 Best Paper Competition.

The study examined performance effects of smart-watch based task assignment, showing that the combination of increased operational transparency and individual autonomy improves workers’ effectiveness and operational performance but yield a decrease in task responsiveness.
The College of Operational Excellence is a special interest group of POMS that seeks to create a community for researchers pursuing operational excellence philosophies, paradigms, principles, systems, and techniques. The College is administering a best paper competition to recognize outstanding research in the field of operational excellence.
