Dr. Bernhard Kratzwald joins POM with prestigious ETH Pioneer Fellowship
Chair of POM welcomes a new team member. Bernhard joins POM first as a Postdoc then as a Pioneer Fellowship awardee from August 1 2021.
Over the past year Bernhard has been researching AI powered algorithms for quality management in collaboration with Julian Senoner from the Chair of POM. This successful collaboration now resulted in the awarding of the ETH Pioneer Fellowship. This prestigious program includes various startup coachings, office spaces, and funding of 150'000 CHF. Bernhard will use the funding to work on DelphisAI: A powerful quality management platform that uses state-of-the-art AI to combine quality inspection and root cause analysis into one solution. Unlike existing solutions, this enables manufacturers to detect quality defects and prevent them in real-time.

Bernhard recently finished his Ph.D. at the Chair of Management Information System with Prof. Stefan Feuerriegel at ETH Zurich. Before that he studied computer science at ETH and TU Vienna. He conducted various research stays at The Ohio State University and the National Institute of Informatics. In his free time he is enthusiastic about cycling and climbing.
Prof. Netland and the Chair of POM are excited to host Bernhard and contribute to the Swiss startup ecosystem.
