Congratulations to Philipp Schaber for winning this prestigious award with his master thesis titled “Using deep learning to predict assembly errors” The Chair of POM is extremely proud of Philipp’s excellent achievement. Well done!
external page The Seghezzi Preis honors significant contributions to the field of quality management. In his thesis, Philipp Schaber developed an unsupervised machine learning approach to detect assembly errors from product images. For this, Philipp collaborated with Siemens Smart Infrastructure in Zug, where he demonstrate the effectiveness of his approach in a real-world field test.
The prestigious award comes with prize money of 10'000 CHF. We congratulate Philipp on this impressive achievement and wish him all the best for his future career at Bain & Company.
