Oliver Flaeschner defends his doctoral thesis
On February 18, Oliver successfully defended his doctoral thesis on Strategic Investment in Global Production Networks.
Since it was not possible to defend his Doctoral Thesis with an audience, Oliver defended his thesis via Zoom in front of the committee (Prof. Dr. Ann Vereecke, Prof. Dr. Stephan Wagner, and the main supervisors Prof. Dr. Torbjörn Netland).

As a token of appreciation of his performance, Oliver got to sign the Chair of POM’s “Mother Bell” (see photo). The bell is an Appenzeller bras bell. While cannons were cast during wartime, cow bells were cast during peacetime. Those who hear it chime get luck, peace, and security. Oliver also received a bell with his name on it.
Oliver is the first PhD candidate to graduate from the Chair of POM. We congratulate him to his successful defense!
