The conversation delved into the current state of realization and the readiness of the technology for broader use in the industry. The panelists discussed the future role of humans in manufacturing and how the technology could support them at their workplace. Some questions from the audience include the role of standards and regulation, how to close the emerging skills gap, and what business models could be enabled.

While the complete realization of the Industrial Metaverse remains a work in progress, the discussion as part of the ETH Global Lecture Series gave an insight into its potential to optimize processes and enhance human capabilities.
