The Chair of POM attended the 'St.Galler Produktionsmanagementtagung 2023'
The Chair of POM recently attended the 'St.Galler Produktionsmanagementtagung 2023' where insights on global, sustainable manufacturing were shared and the Swiss Manufacturing Award was presented to Komax. This engagement also contributed to further strengthening the existing cooperation between the Chair of POM and the Division of Production Management at ITEM (University of St Gallen).
The Chair of POM has participated in the 'external page St.Galler Produktionsmanagementtagung 2023' (St Gallen Production management convention 2023), with Alexander Albers, Matthias Bickel, Jannick Fiedler, and Dr. Oliver von Dzengelevski attending the two-day event starting on 17. October 2023. At the convention, high-calibre speakers from industry, academia and society shared their views on the future of sustainable, global manufacturing and the role of Switzerland. Furthermore, this year's Swiss Manufacturing Award was announced at the convention and handed over to Komax, the winning company. The attendance of the Chair of POM at the convention, also gave its researchers the opportunity to further strengthen the already existing strong ties with the Division of Production Management at the Institute for Technology Management (ITEM), lead by Prof. Thomas Friedli, and set the stage for an even deeper collaboration in the future.
