Wan Ri is a research associate and doctoral student at the Chair of Production and Operations Management (POM) at ETH Zurich. She graduated with distinction from the University of Cambridge in MPhil in Industrial Systems Manufacture Management. There she collaborated with multinational companies to develop a novel framework for digital supply chain strategies in manufacturing. Additionally, she holds a BE(Hons) in Chemical and Materials Engineering from the University of Auckland.
She brings valuable practical experience having worked with multinational organisations such as Nestlé for more than 3 years in both production and engineering domains. There, she led the production team through piloting initiatives in TPM, achieving significant cost savings and performance. She also spearheaded Kaizen initiatives in Tetrapak Plant for both the engineering and production teams and achieved significant reduction of breakdowns. In UK, she also gained valuable consultancy experience through projects with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), Twinings, Nippon Sheet Glass (NSG) and Data Conversion Systems (dCS) ltd.

She has a passion for sporting activities and has participated in several international tournaments. She also loves the outdoors and is excited to discover the beautiful hiking trails and immersing into the various cultures the world has to offer.
