Dr. Oliver von Dzengelevski conducts research on global operations strategy and company resilience, currently focusing on aspects related to geopolitics. As a lecturer, he teaches the elective course "Global Operations Strategy".

 

Dr. Oliver von Dzengelevski is a senior researcher ('Oberassistent'), specializing in global operations strategy and geopolitical resilience of international manufacturers. He holds a Dr. Sc. in Management, Technology and Economics from ETH Zurich, which he completed 2021 with a dissertation on strategic aspects production network configuration. Prior to this, he graduated with an M.Sc. from the University of Oxford, Lincoln College, where he specialised in questions relating to global political economy. For his master thesis, he used advanced statistical methods to investigate the impact of Chinese rare earth metal export quotas on the global high-tech industry. At the University of Oxford, he was part of the Oxford Strategy Group. Oliver also had the opportunity to be a visiting researcher at the Institute for Manufacturing (Department of Engineering) at the University of Cambridge. Previously, Dr. Oliver von Dzengelevski completed his bachelor's degree at the Freie Universität Berlin, where he focused on industrial policy and international trade. He also holds a PGrad. Cert. in Corporate Finance from Harvard University. Furthermore, he has been the co-president of the Scientific Staff Association at D-MTEC 2018-2019.
