At the POM Network Firmenbesuch 2023, Stadler in St. Margrethen was awarded the prestigious Industrial Excellence Award (IEA) 2023 for its competitiveness and operational excellence.

The IEA was established in 1995 by the French business school INSEAD and the German WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management. The award benchmarks Management Quality for European competitiveness in the industrial and service sectors.

Stadler is a highly successful global systems supplier for the construction and operation of railway vehicles, providing innovative, reliable, and safe railway transport solutions that contribute to the sustainable mobility of the future. Its Rolling Stock segment focuses on the development, design and production of high-speed, intercity, and regional trains, locomotives, metros, light rail vehicles and passenger coaches. At the modern production site in St. Margrethen, Stadler manufactures single and double-decker trains and operates a warehouse.

“Stadler is the absolute best performer in terms of price and quality,” testified customer Norske Tog when it in March 2023 announced an order for 17 single-decker FLIRT trains. Norske Tog had benchmarked all the best rolling stock companies in Europe. Given Stadler’s location in the high-cost Switzerland, the management and operational quality of Stadler must be outstanding. Stadler has enjoyed continued growth and expansion. It builds some of the most innovative rolling stock, an essential product for moving the world towards net zero. In particular, Stadler stands out for its strong customer focus, remaining a very attractive employer, and showing exceptional resilience during the recent turbulent times.
